Website privacy policy
Last updated: 8 October 2026. This policy covers appsfromdawoodz.com. My mobile apps have separate privacy policies, linked from their app pages.
1. Who is responsible?
Peter Weiss
Masselstraße 26/1
72290 Loßburg, Germany
Email: appsfromdawoodz@gmail.com
2. Website hosting and access data
This website is hosted by STRATO GmbH in Germany. When you access it, your browser transmits technical information needed to deliver the requested page, including your IP address. Access and security logs may also contain the date and time, requested page or file, response status, browser information and referring page.
This processing serves my legitimate interests in providing a reliable website and detecting and preventing abuse, under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. STRATO processes hosting data on my behalf under a data-processing agreement pursuant to Article 28 GDPR.
According to STRATO’s hosting information, visitor IP addresses used to detect and prevent attacks are retained for a maximum of seven days. The access logs made available to hosting customers contain anonymised IP addresses. Anonymised customer access logs are available for the preceding six weeks. Security incidents may require separate retention where necessary.
3. Cookies, tracking and local storage
The website code does not set cookies, use browser local storage, or include advertising trackers or third-party analytics. App filtering works only in the current page and is not saved. Images and styles are served locally, and fonts come from your device.
The STRATO test version serves the website without embedded third-party services. If non-essential tracking or similar technologies are added later, this policy and any required consent controls will be updated before those technologies are enabled.
4. Contact by email
If you email me, I process your email address, message and any information you choose to send so I can respond. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for enquiries relating to a contract, and Article 6(1)(f) GDPR for other enquiries, based on our legitimate interest in answering messages.
Messages are handled through a Gmail account. Google therefore also processes email data, and processing outside the European Economic Area may occur. For users in the European Economic Area, Google identifies Google Ireland Limited as the service provider. Google describes its international-transfer safeguards, including the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses, in its data transfer information. This is a standard Gmail account, not Google Workspace; see Google’s privacy policy.
Enquiry data is kept for as long as necessary to answer and follow up on the enquiry, or to meet applicable legal retention obligations. Completed support enquiries are deleted twelve months after completion, unless they are still needed for an open matter or must be retained under applicable law. This retention rule applies from 8 October 2026.
5. App Store, Google Play and other links
Store buttons are ordinary links, not embedded store widgets. Clicking one takes you to Apple or Google, where that provider’s privacy policy applies. My app privacy policies describe processing within each app separately.
6. Your rights
Subject to the applicable GDPR conditions, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability. You may object to processing based on my legitimate interests on grounds relating to your particular situation. If processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing.
You may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, including the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information Baden-Württemberg. To exercise your rights, contact me using the email address above.
7. Changes
I update this policy when the website or its data processing changes. The current version is available at this address.
